Note for dry pre-charged motorcycle batteries with acid pack

From February 1, 2021, the sale of sulphuric acid to private individuals will be prohibited in accordance with EU Regulation (2019/1148). As a result, the sale of motorcycle batteries with a separate acid pack, as in the Classic model series, is no longer possible. However, where possible, we offer alternatives pre-filled with acid in AGM/SLA or lead/gel technology. Please note that due to the significant difference in the charging voltage required, it is generally not possible to replace a wet/acid battery with an AGM/SLA battery and we therefore offer lead/gel batteries as an alternative.

Whilst most people think long and hard about buying a battery, another topic becomes a minor matter: the charger. Yet correct charging is the be-all and end-all for the service life of any battery. The best battery can only be as good as its charger. As every battery requires special charging and discharging cycles, a high-quality charger helps to maximise the service life and performance of a battery. Not all lead-acid batteries are the same and a lithium battery is different again - it is worth switching to a modern charger.
